Claire McFadden

Claire joined JK Cameron as a trainee solicitor in 1996 and became a Partner in 2003.  She has overseen the expansion of the firm to meet the demands of an ever increasing client base.  Claire is at the forefront of Adoption law in Scotland, conducting numerous contested adoptions & family litigation cases each year in various Sheriff Courts throughout Scotland & in the court of Session.

Claire graduated from the University of Strathclyde with an Honours award of Bachelor of Laws & returned there in 1998 to teach undergraduates & postgraduates in Conveyancing and Property law.

Claire has practiced a range of chamber and court work including Adoption, Family and Child Law, Conveyancing, Private Client and Criminal Law and over the last fifteen years has accumulated vast experience and expertise specifically in the areas of Adoption, Child and Family Law. 

Claire is regularly instructed by Glasgow Sheriff Court to prepare reports in family litigation cases involving children and is also instructed by courts out with Scotland in relation to matters of Scottish Adoption and Child Law.  She is a member of the British Association of Adoption and Fostering (BAAF) Legal Group and Family Law Association. Claire regularly speaks at seminars and conferences regarding Adoption, Child and Family Law.
